Our Courses

Our tutor, Charlotte Tyne, has taught ceramics for many years at college level and is a skilled technician. Her hope is that her students, having been taught, will come up with their own ideas and Charlotte will ‘make it happen the best I can’.

We also offer private bookings and accommodation within the house. Please contact Kishanda if you would like to arrange a party.

3 DAY COURSES

SATURDAY 12 APRIL, SUNDAY 13 April and MONDAY 14th April

10am to 4.00pm (for no more than 8 people). TO INCLUDE LUNCH

Charlotte will demonstrate the arts of slab building, coiling and pinching. And, the further embellishment of pieces with handles, applied textures, slip decoration and the use of sprig moulds.

Your finished work will be bisque fired.

(Note: for a reasonable charge we can put translucent glaze over work which has been decorated with underglazes OR you can come for a day’s glazing course)

Included is 12.5kg of clay and firing of small pieces.

Very large pieces will incur a firing charge.
